When you connect it to the computer, have you tried opening "My Computer" and checking if a "removable disk" appears?

My downloader on my lg viewty is not working how do i fix it

Unfortunately it will then block you when you try downloading on your phone. So when it appears click options then 'start' to start any download.
If you still get an error message as 'Invalid descriptor', then you should install 'LG PC Suite' on your PC (Url: http://www.software112.com/products/lg-pc-suite+download.html), connect PC and phone through USB or bluetooth, then download the file in .jar format on your PC, then upload it to your phone through PC suite under 'Manage files'. You can then install the jar file directly when you select it in 'Your Stuff' on your LG Viewty.

Lg ku990i pc suite

Hi,
Visit this link to download the PC software for LG KU990.
If You want to be able to see the contents of your LG Viewty on your PC, you don't have to install the software. Here's a very simple solution to that
On your Viewy go to

1.Phone Settings,

2.select Connectivity,

3.select USB connection Mode

4.set it to Mass storage, (select)

5.go back to main screen, and connect your USB to the PC

6.Your Viwety should go immediately to USB mode

7. On your PC, Go to Computer, and look for the removable driver that corresponds to the new connection (your viewty), click on the driver icon and you should be able to see your phone's content if u have a flash memory inserted on your phone.
Thanks for using Fixya.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

Can't view LG KU990's files on my computer

Nah!! i dissagree that solution is way to compicated when you can simply just plug in your USB cord and open the USB driver corresponding to the phone. You do have to have the phone set to Mass storage to do it. {Plug it in and open my computer, the icon will appear by itself, then you'll be able to view and add files and everything else.} No need for any software really.

TRANSFERRING MUSIC FROM PC TO LG KU990 VIEWTY

Right, this worked for pictures and stuff, so it SHOULD work for music.

1). Before plugging in phone to computer, change the settings from Data whatever to Mass Storage, you can do this by going to phone settings, connectivity and then highlighting Mass Storage.
2). Plug in phone.
3). Wait for your computer to find the drivers and such. And viola!

Now, it probably won't connect through the connection wizard, but you don't need that cos your computer should automatically bring up a list of options and you want to click "View Folders" or something similar. If not, then go to My Computer and you should be able to click onto your phone icon and get into it from there.

That worked for me anyway, after spending nearly four hours fiddling with it.
