I try to turn on my laptop, and it won't turn on. When it originally happened I was on it, without the charger plugged in, online. It was working fine, and then all of a sudden it shut off, and will no longer turn on. The power light turns on, but the screen does not light up, nor do the fans start to run like they normally do. What is my problem?

Your battery is probably completely discharged. This can prevent the laptop from starting even WITH the power plugged in. You might try removing the battery, then plug in the AC power adapter. Push the power button and HOLD IT down for 30 seconds (your laptop may or may not start up. If it starts, then shut it down normally.)
Replace the battery. With the AC still plugged in, repeat the start proceedure above. Leave the laptop on until the battery is fully charged. If this doesn't work, then your battery may be bad (this can happen all at once) or worse, your charging system isn't working (less likely.) Your power adapter could also be bad - is the green light on when it's plugged in?

You may have to repeat the proceedure a few times before it works as the battery needs to show a little charge before it will start.

Once started, press F2 while on the dell logo to go to the setup screen. Select the power options. and you should see if the battery is detected. If battery is detected, it should say "charging".

If none of this works, call Dell technical support 800 822-8965 for further assistance

Won't turn on

Please check the following :
- Is the battery inserted correctly? (Try removing it and putting it back)
- Is the charger working? (Plug the charger cable into the laptop, see if the light that shows when it's charging is flashing. ) If not, Either your charger is not working, or the DC jack on your laptop needs to be replaced.
-If you have or can find another laptop with the same power jack, try your laptops charger on it to see whether or not it works. If it charges the other laptop, your charger is fine, and the DC jack on your laptop is broken and needs to be replaced. Please go to your nearest PC repair shop and tell them this. The actual part that needs to be replaced will only cost ~$2-$5 online; but they will likely add on ~$50-75 for labor.
-If it doesn't charge a different laptop with the same connector, your charger is not working, and you'll need to replace it. These cost a maximum of $20 online in most cases.
-There is a possibility in some laptops that your battery has malfunctioned, and the laptop won't power on without a working battery. The chances of this however are very slim; most laptops don't do this.

Nikon s6300 won't turn on

Coolpix Cameras are tricky to use with chargers. I will assume your USB Charger EH-69P is 100 - 240V 50/60 Hz so it CAN work in many places around the world with an adapter. Do not go over 240V or you could damage it.

These cameras like to have the power supply connected when it is on to charge - meaning if you have it connected and you plug the charger in the wall it will NOT charge. So if you plug the charger in the wall first and then plug the cable in the camera it will work. The camera is actually ON when it charges and I never REMOVE the memory card when it is ON.

When you have a dead battery. Plug the camera in and make sure the ON LED lights and the Charge LED flashes. Then don't mess with it. Let it charge completely (Charge LED stops flashing and is OFF) and then unplug it. It will turn off. Then later you can turn it on.

Laptop won't charge. Replaced battery and charger and still does not work.

Please check the connector / port where u plug-in the charger. Does it happen with all other compatible chargers or only with the one you have. Also try charging some other compatible laptop with the same charger. If that works, it means there is some problem with the port. Its not making the connections well.

I bought a new charger for my laptop as my charger broke, and the little blue light comes on but the laptop won't turn on. I have the right charger, but it still won't turn on. The power light...

The first thing to do is check that the charger is putting out the correct voltage, which should be ~18 volt. Then try to start it without the battery.
If your voltage is OK and the battery out makes no difference, then I would suspect that you have a motherboard problem that must be fixed. If the computer starts up if you wiggle the DC plug where it goes into the computer, then it's the DC jack that is looks and must be re-soldered.
