I know that this is 4 years later but i want to thank hb1664 alot!
i just bought a pd-dvr100 and i had this exact problem of it just flashing hello a million times and eject not working. so i unscrewed the cover and found also that my connector at the back of the drive was loose also. maybe they do that for shipment? i don't know but your solution sure saved me the headache of returns and postage, etc... thanks a million hb!

If you have a PD-DVR100 and the eject doesn't work and the LED flashes Hello. Unscre the cover take it of and check the connectors that go into the drive. I bought a used one with this problem and now it works perfectly.

I hope that you have found the codes by now, but if not, here are the codes we have, and also the steps to program that remote.
1. Hold down the clear AUX button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the DVD on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code
685 is the only code we have for this brand.
