Question about GE Profile WPRE6150KWT Colossal Capacity Washer

Hi, I overloaded my washer with towels. It hasn't fully drained (can hear water beneath the tub when you move it). I tried unplugging it for a minute, but the same problem presents itself. When start is pressed, it flashes like it's on pause, press it again and close the lid, the machine automatically begins to aggitate. It doesn't pump water into the tub at all. Please help!

The motor has a power inverter on top of it. Try and reset the motor by doing this:

Turn the washer off. Unplug the machine for one minute. Plug back in and raise and lower the lid six times within 12 seconds. It may take a few times. The motor has a green light on it that blinks. If it ain't acting right it will display flashes:

1 flash bad motor
2 flashes slipping belt
3 flashes corrupted software bad motor
4 flashes failed mode shift circuit
5 flashes little green men bad motor
6 flashes locked motor check for objects between tub
7 flashes bad lidswitch.
8 flashes motor overheated too much soap
9 flashes brake resister is toast bad motor.

After resetting the inverter board, put the machine in a spin cycle and see if it runs. If not, check for a green blinking light on the inverter board. It will flash failure codes according to the picture above. If no light you probably have a blown fuse built into the neutral side of the harness on the white/red wire. Water will not drain. sewer line is not pluged. Customer service says I could have a plugged filter at the pump ( we have dogs). How do I get to the pump to unclog it. Model EIFLS55IIW woody

Hi agnes! Washing machines, including those built by Frigidaire, have internal pumps. These pumps help drain out the water from the washer tub between the wash, rinse, and spin cycles. If the pump is damaged or the pump pulley system is frozen/stiff, the water can become trapped in the washer tub. In both cases, the pump assembly needs to be replaced. You can check by looking for a few signs that a pump is dying or already dead.
1 Start the washer and wait for the washer tub to fill with water. If you do not hear water or hear a motor whirring, the washer motor may be dead.
2 Open the washer lid in mid-cycle. Note whether or not the inner tub is still spinning around. The inner tub is the inside surface of the washing compartment with many holes for water draining. If the tub is not spinning but the motor is running, it is possible the pump is dead. Check the pump pulley by removing the pump from the washer and trying to rotate it by hand. If the pulley doesn't turn freely and is frozen or stiff, replace it. Also, if the agitator is moving but the tub isn't, this is a sign the pump is dying. For front-loading washers, do not attempt to open the door mid-cycle. Look through the glass door. If there is enough water to come up against the door, the pump is malfunctioning.
3 Wait for the washer to finish its cycle. Open the unit. If water is still in the tub, the pump is likely dying or dead.

The OE error is telling you the water hasn't drained out in ten minutes. To fix I would first start with cleaning the filter on the pump. If that doesn't fix i would recommend replacing the pump. I would also have towels and a mop in hand because when you unscrew the filter top the water that is inside the tub will come out. You should try leaning washer back before removing filter to prevent the mess.If you have to replace the pump they run about 50 or 60 bucks. I hope this helps.

I need to know how a maytag performa pavt-1 washer drains. does it drain beneath the agitator or through the holes in the basket?

It drains through the holes in the plastic tub. You may hear a sloshing sound when you move the tub and this is normal. There is a solution sealed inside the tub on this unit to balance out the spin cycle.

There is what is called the coupler. Does it drain still? Also might have gotten a towel stuck between the tubs. That can easily happen when overloading. Did you smeel a bad smell when you noticed it not working? If you did more than likely towel stuck between the tubs.

I put my LG washer to cotton/towel setting. It ran part of a cycle and now flashes OE. I have never had any trouble with this washer. Is this a simple problem? There is water in the tub.

its a drain error not fully drained in within 10 mins.

There is water left under the tub after the wash is over. When I move the tub I can hear the water sloshing. How can I get rid of the water. It makes my towels smell like mildew.

If it is draining down and spinning the clothes dry then all of the water is draining out. There is only about a 1/2 in space under the tub. There is a balance ring around the top of the tube that holds water. That may be the sound you are hearing? Try washing a load without anything in it on hot and use a box of baking soda. See if that will help with the smell. My washer leaves a mildew smell sometimes. I started running an extra rinse cycle on it. And that helped. I think it was my water.

Machine won't empty

It will not spin if there is water in it.
Locate the filter, which should be at the bottom front right of washer behind a drop down flap or cover.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.
Hope fully this will solve the problem.

You'll very likely have something caught in your drain pump. First set the washer to drain and spin. If you hear a hum or grinding noise and the water in the tub isn't draining or it's draining slowly you have something in the pump. If you take the rear panel off you'll reveal the drain pump at the right front corner or maybe middle on this model. if you empty all the water from your machine you can take off the spring clamp (this can be tricky) attaching the thick rubber hose from your tub to your drain pump. (you may want to have some old towels ready) With this off you can feel around for what's blocking the drain pump's impeller. You may want to take the screws out that secure the drain pump to the base and the other spring clamp that attaches the drain hose to the drain pump. Good luck!

Washer will not drain nor spin. Did have a OL IN THE INDICATION WINDOW WHEN PROBLEM FIRST OCCURRED

The OL means that the load was overloaded and shut itself off due to weight.
