Dropped camera Camera dropped while lens was out. Lens was knocked crooked. My son attempted to push the lens back to center it and we heard a piece on the right side click or break. Now the lens wobbles, but retracts. However, the lens comes out halfway between wide and telephoto, have to move it back and forth, or shut off and sometimes it comes out to wide. Pictures are still great. Ask Kodak for help and they wanted me to send it to them and then give me a certificate to take 15% off a new camera. I also have the dock and extras for this camera. Was told by Precision cost of repair would be $94.50 plus $12.95 shipping. Is there a way to fix the lens without damaging the camera further?

the battery is new and pictures are great. Sometimes now the lens will not come out but then, for some reason, it comes out. Sometimes lens will be all the way out, sometimes halfway out. I'm temped to take it apart but have a feeling that whatever type of clip was holding the right side of the lens would not be available. Cannot put it on telephoto, pictures come out blurred. Yesterday could not get lens out but could switch to favorites and see the pictures, after turning off and on several times, lens came out.

Lens won't come out and lens cover won't open. New battery what do you do to make it work?

Crooked camera lens

Camera got dropped, lens got pushed in on one side? If you can straighten it yourself by pulling it out straight on that side, it might work perfectly afterwards.

I dropped my Exilim Z77 on the ground and now I have a lens error

the answer to that question is really up to you.  I'd try to repair it once again and if that failed, I'd go to Walmart and buy a new camera.

Sony dsc w55 when turned on zoom lens seems to be crooked &message tun power off &on again nothing happens

Hello

If the lens barrel is crooked it is normally a sign that the camera has been dropped or knocked.

If you are careful you may be able to straighten the barrel up by trying to push is back into place.

If you are unable to do this you will have to take it to a service centre and have the lens block replaced.

Camera dropped, lens won't retract or expand

Sounds like the lens got bent out of alignment. Call Canon at 1-800-828-4040. They are really good with their support with or without warranty. You can send it in for repair or ask for the Canon loyalty Program. You trade in your broken camera and they'll give you a newer model for an incredible price.

Lens Stuck

Same problem guys!!! LENS HAD GOT STUCK - ABOUT ONE THIRD OUT after a knock. After lots of playing, and tapping and batteries in and out tried the whole twisting and pulling thing whilst turning off and on.

After a few minutes it came free and whole lens popped out. I then had to twist the outer part of the lens to straighten that up and allow it to fully retract. Works a treat now!

PS Tried the Sony online chat support - useless!!!!

Camera switches on then off

Check the Kodak website Tech support, It does seem that there is a switch fault or internal short here.
