Canon imageRUNNER 2020i left door paper jam error.how to reset Tried to clean everthying,and there is nor paper jam.

With commercial machine like the ImageRunner, it is often staff roughly removing the jammed paper and leaving a tiny piece of torn paper over one of the sensors.

Remove the wall mains plug. Remove all the paper trays. remove the toner cartridge, open all the side doors and look carefully with a flashlight for a small piece of paper.

this message is 90% from the second tray.try to close the small door of the 2nd cassette forcefully.if it does not work u can disconnect the second tray by unplugging the wire from the engine board on the back side of the machine by removing the back cover.it will be a yellow p/j in the middle of the board.u can easily trace it as it goes down to the 2nd tray.

try removing the p/j of second tray from the board after removing the back cover.I am sure the error is from the second tray sensor.in order to this error solve it u have to remove the second tray unit from the copier and then try to blow it throughly.

Check the dial or slider on the side of the cassette tray for size indicator. This will cause jamming and the improper size message. Make sure the indicator matches the size of paper in the tray.

E001 is a fuser overheat error you can try to reset it in service mode

The answer for your problem is:
1) open the front door
2)open the left door
3) on front side door you will see the blue handle (left from toner bottle) which you must turn in right side.
4) pull the drum unit out ( the drum unit is unlocked when you turn the blue handle in right position, see step 3).
5) On upper side of drum unit, near the handle, you shuld see the little cork.Pull out the cork, and with vacume cleaner, vacume the waste toner out.

THIS SHOULD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, BUT THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE DRUM UNIT, CODE IS C-EXV14 CANON DRUM UNIT.

Try to clean the rubber parts. Probably these are filled with paper dust.

I think - The fixing film sensor is faulty.
Caution To clear the error, execute the following in service mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.
