May need service repair, but try to remove the battery and press the power button for about 10 seconds, reconnect the battery and try to charge it, then after a few minutes of trying to charge, attempt to power on the camera and see if the lens will retract.

  • 20-60×65 Zoom Magnification
The wide range of magnification allows user flexibility for long-range view finding. You can observe details with 65x zoom for long range objects. But, you can still enjoy an increased field of view with 20x zoom. This is used when separating the areas for closer zoom viewing later on.
  • 65x Lens Light-Gathering Capability

This spotting scope is actually water and fog proof not only for outside moisture but also prevents lens fogging from risky temperatures.
  • Fully Multi-Coated Optics
The multi-coated lenses prevent any reflections in the glass that can delay your view. The sunlight at certain angles can cause reflections from water or wet surfaces that prevent the clear view of the images. That is why; Bushnell uses multi-coated lenses to remove any kind of reflection.
  • Well-designed Equipment
The tripod often needs to hide from animals, and the scope cases also need to protect their insides from both jostling and the outside elements. The Bushnell Trophy XLT comes with both a hard-side case and a soft side case. The hard side case protects you from outside damage and a soft-side case protect you from a bumpy road when you are riding.

I need to raise the drivers power seat on my 2016 new Volvo V90 1" above the current maximum height due to my short height. So far little help from Volvo.

It would not be an easy task as Volvo builds their seat base to lock in to the floor structure of the car, but if you could find a competent machine shop to manufacture 1" spacer plates to mount between the seat base and the floor of the car.

THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT on my volvo S80 COMES ON OCCASIONALY AND SAYS THAT THE CAR NEEDS AN ALARM SERVICE BUT DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE DRIVE OF THE CAR

It won't detract until you ignore it long enough and the engine immobiliser fails and leaves you stranded.

Do as your car is telling you and get it to a Volvo dealer. Preventing the fault will likely cost less and certainly be less inconvenient and dangerous than having it occur whilst driving.

Need date stamp on pics taken with my Olympus Camedia c-60 camera. Cannot figure out how to make it work that way. Any ideas? Thx.

By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order or print reservation that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Camedia Master or Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

However the computer will only show the date information as part of the photo properties.

Conversion lenses & filters

These screw on the front of the plastic lens adapter and adjust the focal length. On the side of the adapter lenses it will quote the ratio. My wide angle says 0.66x so just multiply the range of focal lengths by this figure and you will see that it adjusts the camera zoom accordingly - making the image wider and probably also increasing the depth of field (what is in focus). Similarly a 1.5 tele will inrease the range of focal lengths to make the lens "longer" eg higher magnification , useful for astro photography - shots of the moon and terrestrial long distance work but detracting from the depth of field, eg the range of distance over which objects are in focus will be reduced.

The wide angle will allow you to come in close and get WIDE objects fully in-frame- hence "wide angle", while the telephoto will give you better overall maginification of the image but will probably increase the MINIMUM focal length - eg you may not be able to focus on objects closer than >2m (instead of ~1).

The screw-on adapter lenses I found were cheap in a Jessops sale use a 52mm thread, while the S5500 provides a 55mm internal thread. I use an appropriate 55mm to 52mm step down ring adapter. There is slight vignetting (shading around the edge of an image) at certain combinations of zoom, but generally these are very useful accessories.

As these are adapter lenses on the front of an already powerful 10x zoom that must be optically compromised at the price of this camera, there maybe some colour fringeing around bright images. If you want a better solution you really need to get a DSLR. Overall a good solution for the price.
