Raise the flash, try to take flash picture, no flash. The lightning bolt symbol blinks, but no flash.

With the SX130 I've seen that before, it seems to be caused by the bulb burning out. Your best bet will be to contact Canon.

A red lightning arrow keeps flashing on the screen and the camera isn't doin anything, what can the problem be?

Hi.

A red flashing lightening bolt can mean different things on different camera's. The most common are that you are too far away from the object you want to take a picture of. That the flash on the camera needs to be turned off and that the flash itself is charging up and won't allow a picture to be taken.

Try turning the flash off and see if it will let you take a picture.

Regards.

Flash not working, blured pictures

Do you have the flash turned off? Does the screen show a lightning bolt with a line through it? If so, press the button with the lightning bolt and watch the screen for a lightning bolt and an "a".

My flash bulb doesn't work, picture are dark

Do you have it turned off? Is there a picture of a lightning bolt with a line through it? If so, press the button with the lightning bolt until the screen shows a lightning bolt and an "a". Also, do you have the camera set on a scene mode such as night? The flash won't go off in some scene modes.

My flash does not seem to be working, I tried just about everything but it wont work. it all started when I pressed reset im pretty sure, but im not postive. please help me.

Pressing reset would not disable your flash. On the screen, does a lightning bolt icon appear? Is there a letter A or the word auto next to it? Or does the lightning bolt have a diagonal line through it? In any case, press the button on the back of your camera with the picture of the lightning bolt until the lightning bolt with "A" or "auto" appears next to it on the screen.

Can't get flash to work

• If you are taking pictures in low light (dim light) and the flash is required, the flash will operate

automatically. A lightning bolt appears on the LCD screen and blinks until the flash is ready.

• While holding the camera steady, press the shutter button to take a picture.

Hint: The flash works best when your picture subject is about 4 ft. - 7.5 ft. (1.22 m - 2.23 m)

from the camera.

• When the batteries are getting weak, the flash will not fully charge and the no flash lightning

bolt appears on the LCD screen. It's time for an adult to change the "AA" (LR6) batteries,

Hope this works!!!

Red flashing lightning bolt on the screen

That is the flash charging indicator blinking constantly on the screen. Unfortunately the camera will need to be sent to Olympus for service as this is a switch inside the camera that needs to be replaced. I would call Olympus Customer Service for repair process and pricing information. Their telephone number is 800-622-6372 option 2 and then option 3.

Camera won't take a picture

WHAT YOU ARE SEEING IS BASICALLY AN ERROR WARNING THAT THE SHUTTER SPEED IS NOT RIGHT FOR THE LIGHT CONDITION AND THE LIGHTNING BOLT USUALLY MEANS THE FLASH IS NEEDED. IF THIS IS A FILM CAMERA, IT IS PROBABLY WANTING YOU TO PUT IN THE CORRECT EXPOSURE SETTINGS FOR THE CONDITIONS. DOES THIS HAPPEN WITH ALL CONDITIONS? HAVE YOU TRIED OTHER SETTINGS ON THE CAMERA? LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED MORE HELP.

Lightning bolt effect pictures

Check the Manual to see if there is a 'Reset' feature Contact Canon Technical Support team There is no self fix- it is either a connector or circuit board failure If less than a year old- perhaps a replacement may be available Canon will know.
