If the camera was working correctly before the old batteries ran out of power I'd suspect that the replacement batteries were installed incorrectly. The battery door/lid will show the correct way to install the new batteries.

My sanyo vpc-c5 digital camera won't turn on

If you already tried a new battery, I would suggest cleaning the battery terminals with alcohols and a q-tip first and check for loose terminals. It may be a power switch which unfortunately can't be changed or fixed by the average user. If you want to trouble shoot further and feel you can do it yourself, I will send you links on repair. Otherwise it should be brought in to a reputable repair shop.

My camera just heats up the batteries

This is cause by a bad flash componet inside the camera that has malfuction witch puts a huge DRAW on the battiers this causes the unit not to recieve power to the rest of the unit. I would seriously have a camera shop look at (hate to bring you bad news but it is what it is) if its under warranty seek out that repair.

thanks and please do be considerate wiht your ratings and feedbacks. Have a good day.

Camera turns right off when turned on

This could be due to a stuck lens motor or bad battery contacts. This could be brought to a camera shop for repair for under $35 bucks. I suggest you have a professional look at it before trying it yourself, Thanks for using Fixya.com.

Fuji f-401 not recharging.

There is only two possibility why the battery didn't charge.
1) cradle ( socket at camera side ) faulty.
2) the power adaptor faulty ( no dc voltage, can use volt meter to confirm ).

it worth repairing .Thks

CAMARA turns off when i press to take a photo

I have the same camera... and it was doing the same thing AFTER i changed my old batteries, because they were getting low. It was only after i put in the NEW batteries that i had this problem... I tried putting the old batteries back in and sure enough it worked again, so it probably all just depends on the brand of the battery you use.
