Hi What can I do if my Bosch refrigerator starts freezing, even on the top shelves The freezer is on the bottom I think it started when Ice maker stopped working, then water dispenser and now everything...

Here is a possible fix I used on a different brand. Unplug your fridge and let it completely thaw. Sometimes drains and controls get frozen from condensation and auto defrost drains also freeze up. Make sure you have some towels to soak up any possible flooding as the catch tray may overflow. Your food should be put into cooler to stop it from thawing. This will take 5 - 6 hours. Good luck!

My fridge side is not cooling, but my freezer is freezing

seems like you have a defrost issue, with this unit, its more than likely the adaptive defrost control found in the upper right hand corner of the fridge. You have to take down the lights and control....
You can find your part on any of the Parts websites for around 75.00..
IMPERITIVE unplug the fridge before replacing the board..

My Bosch KGU3420GB fridge freezer keeps getting a thick layer of ice in the bottom of the freezer which then 'welds' itself to the bottom freezer draw. Any idea how to fix this?

Sounds like the drain is blocked and defrost water is collecting in the base. Try a full defrost and check the drain hole clears.

Bosch Fridge, Freezer OK but Fridge won't cool

Well nobody came up with any other options so I guess it's just defrost a "nonfrosting" fridge every three months or so, just like the old days.
No progress here then in spite of advances? in technology.

Bosch fridge leaking water

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} I have the same problem, warranty just ran out but its been leaking on and off for ages, must be this model. This much Ive figured out, what happens is the drain hole gets blocked from ice freezing over the hole at the back of freezer, the drain water has to go somewhere, since it cant leak out of the drain hole where it suppose to it ends up pooling under the vege compartment before ending up on the kitchen floor. Now if this is your only problem, someone suggested to me to run a piece of copper wire from the defrost heater to the drain hole so no ice can build up there, hence no more leakage. To do this you'll have to take the back panel off and see for yourself,I did this and Im a novice.Make sure you turn off and unplug the fridge first and wait for it to defrost.

Now I think I have other things wrong with mine, after leakage problem the refrigeration compartment wont cool anymore but the freezer part remains working as usual.Ive nailed this down to one of the following not working... Thermostat / timer / defrost heater. So one or more of these needs replacing.Im just trying to look for a manual which shows the nuts and bolts or the refrigerator (not the "How to use" type manual which I have).

Servis fridge / frezer not colling or freezing

i would firstly do a complete defrost- incase there has been a fault with the frost free system. if after a full defrost it runs ok then there was a fault somewhere in the defrost system including either defrost heater, cut out or possible jammed circulation fan.

Bosch frost free fridge freezer not freezing ice cream/pops at all and meat not totally frozen

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not defrosting as it should.
  • possible causes:
  1. bad defrost timer/board
  2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
  3. bad thermo switch in freezer
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above items. If it still has a problem then it might be the compressor and you should probably replace the machine.

Bosch Cooler is broken

im taking it that the cooler you refer to is actually a general fridge. if its not working, it is either your th/stat which has not reset or if not, assuming your fridge is an auto defrost, look behind the freezer and locate the timer. you should see a plastic knob plus/minus in the middle of the timer. turn the knob and listen if refrigerator comes on. if not call a tech.
