ya mine did something close to the same. at the moment i covered the blue canon inside the tv now the picture isnt 2 of eveything. the tv comes apart easy from the front good luck mike
Check in your menu under video and see if there are 3 gamma settings for the Red, Blue and Green. Some plasma's have that feature, why, I don't know, they only cause issues with the consumer. They are listed in the service mode but if I were you I wouldn't go there and besides it's a million to one that your son happened to hit that lottery.
Sorry I know your model number and its a Power Down trouble with the Scan IC's that are in the unit. You need a tech to look at it and he will most likely find a bad Scan IC and it will need to be replaced. This a is a relatively easy fix for him.
We are having the same problem of the Pioneer Elite Pro-99 turning itself off all of a sudden. The red 'non' power button comes on as if we had turned it off remotely. We would love to resolve this. If you can help let us know.
