If you have the original Apex remote supplied with the TV, press and hold the FUNCTION key in the top left corner of the remote, and then press MUTE while still holding this down.
This method works for many Apex Digital TVs, including AT1302, AT2002, AT2402, AT2702 - plus most other models which have the FUNCTION key.
If you have any other remote, then the method for switching it off will be a combination of 2 keys - one of which - will probably (although not guaranteed) to be mute. The correct key combination will be different on almost every remote, so it's simply trial and error to find it. It's also advisable to switch off all other devices before trying random key combinations!
If you don't have the original remote or any remote you can use with the TV, unlocking it may not be possible.
If you need further assistance, please let me know the brand and model number of the remote you are using to operate the TV - if any.
Press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired. • If your TV asks for a 4-digit code or password please enter 3308 or 6688 to unlock the screen or reset any preset rating levels..
