Candy CDC266 Dryer Logo

I have a Candy Grand 8g vented tumble dryer. No matter which programme I put it on, it starts drying for a few seconds, then ALL the lights flash and it stops. I have cleaned the filter and do not know what else to do. It is only about 6 months old. Any suggestions please? Thank you very much.

Yahoo Fixed it If tumble dryer is in cold location like a washroom,as ours is,put a pan of boiling water into dryer and leave for 10-15 minutes and then obviously remove pan and hopefully dryer will work.It worked for me.Yesterday I tried hoovering the inside to clear "fluff" off swithes etc,but that was no use.

I telephoned Candy and they told me to do what Quiggers said - put a pan of boiling water (still in the pan!) in the dryer with the door closed and wait 10 minutes. Apparently if the dryer is in a "cold" place it gets "frozen". Candy had over 2000 calls about the very same problem this weekend. This worked for me too! x

Thank you, thank you - I have been going nuts with this probelm over the past few weeks and was beginning to wonder if it had anything to do with the cold weather! Fingers crossed it works cause I have all the bed linen washed and no dryer!!! Agghhhh.......

My condenser dryer has a flashing light for "filter care" even after filters have been cleaned. it produces heat and turns, does anyone know why this would happen and what I could do to remedy it?

I expect it has 4" duct exhausting to outside? It's possibly restricted with lint, either at the louvered opening, or in the pipe itself. Spiral plastic vent is particularly restrictive and captures more lint than smooth sheet metal pipe. A restricted exhaust/limited air flow will likely trigger a filter message.

My candy condenser dryer isn't heating up. I have cleaned it and emptied the water canister. The drum is turning ok . just will not heat and all six lights flash after around 15 min.

The dryer stops after about 15+ seconds.

No, but mine started doing the same thing today. Did it once before and same- started working again. Any suggestions for last poster and myself?
