I have a Candy Grand 8g vented tumble dryer. No matter which programme I put it on, it starts drying for a few seconds, then ALL the lights flash and it stops. I have cleaned the filter and do not know what else to do. It is only about 6 months old. Any suggestions please? Thank you very much.

I telephoned Candy and they told me to do what Quiggers said - put a pan of boiling water (still in the pan!) in the dryer with the door closed and wait 10 minutes. Apparently if the dryer is in a "cold" place it gets "frozen". Candy had over 2000 calls about the very same problem this weekend. Thank you, thank you - I have been going nuts with this probelm over the past few weeks and was beginning to wonder if it had anything to do with the cold weather! Fingers crossed it works cause I have all the bed linen washed and no dryer!!! Agghhhh.......
