Could not find the IP web

With nearly, all routers the default IP to connect to for configuration is one of the following:

192.168.0.1
192.168.1.1
192.168.0.254
192.168.1.254
192.168.0.2
192.168.1.2

If none of these respond, try resetting the router by pushing and holding down the reset button on the rear or bottom of the router for 30 seconds, then releasing it.

Network is "Hidden"

Try a router reboot.

1. Unplug the Router

2. Shut down and restart the laptops, unplug the XBOX for 20 secondes even though its working.

3. Replug the router.

If this doesnt work you can try resetting the router to the factory settings.

Follow the link below for step by step resetting procedure.

Hughes net and Dlink address conflict

the default user name is admin and the password field should be left blank. if that does not work to get back in you will have to reset your router to factory defaults. to do this follow these instructions.

To hard-reset the D-Link Plus DI-514 to Factory Default Settings, please do
the following:
• Leave the device powered on, do not disconnect the power
• Press the reset button and hold (use a paper clip)
• Keep the button pressed about 10 seconds
• Release the button
The DI-514 will then automatically reboot itself.

at this point the factory default ip address is 192.168.0.1 the user name is admin and the password field should be left blank as mentioned before.

I have problem setting up my wireless network and redirecting my wireless client to my local webpages before they can access to internet.   see this diagram below :...

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.

I have a d-link model DI-524 that stopped working for my laptop I try to connect but is saying it cannot recognize the dns

Let's try to first fully reset your router to factory settings to see if we can get rid of any bad settings that may be causing issues. I borrowed all of the following from the technicallyeasy.net walkthroughs already written about:
"fcb6ce0.gif
To reset your router, use the following steps:
  1. Press the reset button for 10 seconds. You can use a small object, such as a paper clip to hold down the button.
  2. Do not power off the unit while the router is being reset.
The unit should now reboot, and once the WLAN light stops blinking the router should be reset.
  3. (Added by me) Plug your laptop directly into one of the ethernet ports on the back of the router with a standard CAT5e or CAT6 patch cable
  4. Open up your Web browser and enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
  5. For the login, enter admin as the ID and leave the password blank.
The router has now been reset. Follow the steps in Securing D-Link DI-524 Wireless Router to secure your router.

SummaryThis post has provided the instructions you can use to reset your D-Link DI-524 wireless router. If you are having problems with your router, try reseting the router to the factory defaults, and then make the changes again and see if the router starts working."

Lost internet connection via cable modem-router-tower

Alright, start with the basic Gateway IP. http://192.168.0.1 That is what i use to access my router's (yeah, we run just a few more computers than normal people) Anyways, If that doesnt work, then the router has been changed beyond a normal spectrum of Ip configurations. Next step is to recontact Linksys and Let them know directly that the IP Address for accessing the router is not working. Meaning you have no Access to the router at all. Almost all routers use the same base access router ip setup. Its rare to find different unless you are like a few people, who find they need to run at least 2 or more routers on the same internet connection because of too many computers.
