Using a file in MY Rintone file as my call ringer

I have a ringtone saved in "My Ringtones" in the MyStuff. How do I use it for my Ringtone. When I pull up the sound profile, it only gives me the preset options. How do I get to My Ringtones.

Ok, I can't figure out how to set a music file as a ringtone, I bought the song from the Shop Tones section of the AT&T Mall, Start>My Stuff>My Ringtones>(have a song highlighted)>Menu>NOTHING There is nothing that simply says "Set as ringtone." This is one of the most difficult phones I've ever seen.

I had this same problem then felt very silly when I figured it out, the Start menu goes down further than Mystuff. Keep pressing down untill you get to 'Settings', go to Sound, and you can figure it from there. :)

you need to load tones into the ringtone file in my documents, then go to settings>sounds>ringtones and select the one you want. If you have tones in the ringtone folder and its still not working check the size and format of the tones, windows mobile 6 was only designed to accept tones under 320k and in .mp3 or .wav formats.

How do i set my music as a ringtone on iphone 4

Hi,
It's a very tricky method. Follow these step precisely, and you should have your own custom ringtone like I have.

Please rate this solution if it helps you.
1 Open iTunes.
2 Find the song that you want to make into a ringtone.
3 Listen to the song and find the part of it you want to use. The chorus may be a good place to start.
4 Write down the start and stop times of the clip.
5 Right-click the song and select "Get Info."
6 Click the "Options" tab.
7 Type in the start time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Start Time" in the minutes:seconds (i.e., x:xx) format.
8 Type in the end time of your ringtone in the text box next to "Stop Time." Make sure the ringtone is no more than 40 seconds long.
9 Click "OK."
10 Right-click your song again and select "Convert Selection to AAC." Wait for iTunes to convert your song. It will create a duplicate version.
11 Right-click the ringtone and select "Delete."
12 Click on the "Keep Files" button.
13 Find the file. It's usually in your User folder under "Music > iTunes > iTunes Music" and under the band's name. It will have an extension of m4a.
14 Replace the m4a extension of your ringtone with m4r. You can either double-click slowly to rename your file, or right-click and select "Get Info" on a Mac or "Rename" on a Windows PC.
15 Click "Use .m4r" or the PC equivalent when the system warns you that the change may affect the use of your file.
16 Double-click the ringtone file. ITunes will automatically add it to your ringtones folder in your iTunes Music Library.
17 Connect your iPhone and sync your ringtones.

Ok i have a ringtone on and LG Incite and i dont know how to set it as my ringtone, so when someone calls me that rintone is playing.

First of all, the ringtone can only be a maximum of 300 KB which is about 20 seconds long. If the ringtone is larger than this, than it can't be used as a ringtone. After having the ringtone on the phone, you can go to my pictures and videos, and then click on the tab in the upper left corner and go to my documents and my ringtones. This should be where the ringtones are stored on the phone. You can find the ringtone on the phone and copy and paste it to this spot, or you can simply drag and drop the ringtone from your computer to this location if it is hooked up via USB. (but, the phone will not work on the computer until the installation cd is used that came with the phone.

Mp3 to rintone i900 omnia?

Hi!
Copy your mp3 files into this folder:
My Documents\My ringtones and you can use them for ringtones.

Or using a registry editor software (SKTools, ect.)
Go to: HKEY_Current_User\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory and change the value of this key to \My Storage\ or \Storage Card\

Motorola V750 cant get ringtones for free?

You can txt yourself the sound and when you receive the txt you save it as a ringtone. If you have a computer with bluetooth capability you can send ringtones that you can make yourself through bluetooth. I use create-a-ringtones.com, make my own and transfer them to my phone. If anyone else wants the ringtone I just txt it to them. I just did about 18 ringtones for my husband and he has the motorola adventure v750.

Lg scoop

have the newest version of bitpim
make sure you have the drivers for the USB cable you are using.
open bitpim
let it find the phone(it will come up as other CDMA phone)
click FILESYSTEM on the left at the bottom
expand the folder
click dload
right click on lg_mysound.dat and save it to your desktop
after you save it right click lg_mysound.dat in bitpim and delete it
now click brew
click media
click lk
click ms

now drop the songs you want to use as ringers in this file. they will automaticlly load into your phone. it isnt the fastest process but it works.

after they are done loading onto the phone, unhook USB cable from computer, power the phone off and then back on.

the items you just transferred with now be in the my audio file where they need to be to assign them for individual ringers.

NOTE:

everytime you wnat to add new ringers to the phone you have to complete all the steps above, even the deleting that one certain file. not a very hard process and has worked well for me.

good luck and happy mp3 loading songs into the phone as ringers.
