Our tv makes loud buzzing noise. We have replaced lamp. Sometimes, when we turn it on and don't hear buzzing, then we can't get any picture. The buzzing is loud and dosn't go away while tv is on.
There could be alot of variables causing this. If you have no warranty and you decide you feel comfortable trying to work on it, remove the case and try and see exactly where you can hear the buzzing come from. Did it just start doing this or has it done this since you bought it?
That's a failure about to happen in your video control circuit board..you feeling like you want to dig into this yourself, or does this have a warranty

This problem has been going on for about two months-its our main tv and gets a lot of use-if itsa video circuit board, is that difficult to repair ourselves? (no warranty)
We have had Tv for about three years- only started doing this about a couple months ago- that is when we first replaced lamp since lamp indicator would flash. The buzzing used to be quieter but has gotten louder over time.
