Mitsubishi WS-55819 55" Rear Projection Television Logo
Posted on Nov 28, 2010

I was recently given my sister's 55in mitsubishi rear projection tv. It was working great when we unplugged it but when I plugged it in at home it did not turn on at all. The only thing that is showing that there is even any power going to it is a flashing green light by the reset button that does not turn off unless unplugged. I have followed the troubleshooting instructions for resetting etc but no help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris

We have a 55in mitsubishi rear projection tv.
It was working great when the electricity went out (it was plug'd into a power strip) when the electricity came back on it did not turn on at all. The only thing that is showing that there is even any power going to it is a flashing green light by the reset button that does not turn off unless unplugged. I have followed the troubleshooting instructions for resetting etc but no help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. M Deisley

Blinking picture

Replace bulb and heave all cooling vents cleaned of dust. Bulbs on rear projection sets are more like street lights than regular home light bulbs. They dont just burn out they start in and out and maybe fading before they die.

WS-55313 55in. Stored in cold garage fo two days will not power up in warm house. What next?

Leave it unplugged and let it sit for atleast 6 to 8 hours to become at room temp..Do not try to turn on anymore to where it could blow the bulb. After its sat that long atleast plug it in and enjoy..There is a protection relay in the tv to protect the bulb.Hope this helps you and have a great day

RCA 46'' rear projection TV, dated 1998 won't turn on

Probably a new problem given the age of the TV. If you already haven't done so, try unplugging the power for about 10 minutes, plug back in and try again.

Protector glass on a mitsubishi 55in hdtv 1080 #ws-55315

I have the same tv and I took my clear shield off and never put it back on.  The picture is much better without it as it will reflect light and objects in the room making it difficult to see the pic clearly.  I was told by a service tech that the primary purpose of the glass or shield is to prevent damage to the screen from objects, water etc.  If you have no small children in the home you can enjoy a better pic.
