Hi,

You would need to open up your computer, remove the disk drive and then manually remove it. If your not comfortable with taking apart your PC then take it to a computer repair shop should take less than an hour so wouldn't cost a fortune.

maybe the drive is defective. try using a usb drive then test.

try booting comp using the windows disc -if it still makes clicking noise and spits the disc out update the firmware. if it still acts the same way, replace it.

Normally when you insert a mini cd in the drive it should work!!
but there are cases which it didn't work --- any way no problem for lap...

Where is the CD drive on the Dell studio laptop need to put in disc for printer

you can see a slot on the right side of the laptop. you need to put cd in to that. you cannot see any CD Drive coming out of this model. Its a slot CD/DVD reader. So jst push the CD in to the slot. it will start palying. to eject go to my computer and right click on CD driver and click on eject. thats it ok

hi,

-Eject the disc using software such as Windows Explorer or My Computer.
-Turn off the computer and try again
-Try ejecting the Disc in the System Setup; to go to setup; restart the computer then press F2 while the computer is booting yup
-If all else fails contact manufacturer for possible replacement of disc drive.

Dell Studio 1537 DVD not working

1. clean your cd, then put
2. clean your cd/dvd head
3. scratch cd/dvd shows this type of message

Dvd drive wont eject the dvd.

find a thin stick but must be verry thin.  you will see a small hole in DVD uniit.  put the stick in it your dvd will eject.
