You may have a bad Vehicle Speed Sensor [VSS] This sensor provides the information the speedometer needs to indicate speed and also supplies the transmission with information it needs to determine when to shift. If the signal is lost you can end up with the very symptoms you are having. It's usually located on the rear of the transmission or transfer case area. Hope this helps!

Transmission won't shift out of first gear and speedometer stopped working on a 1995 gmc sierra pickup truck

Could be the speed sensor in the transmission. I would check that component first.

My 1995 Chevy Tahoe won't shift gears as I'm

Probably the speed sensor on the transmission. It would cause both problems. You should also have a check engine light with a trouble code for the sensor.

Half of my electricals inside the cab doesnt work, and the truck wont shift on its own

The shifting problem is probably because of the dead speedometer.
Have you checked the fuses in the engine compartment, and the main harness connectors ?

No reverse after rebuild on 4L60E Transmission from 1995 GMC Sono

There isn't a modulator on this trans as it is electronic

You can have first gear going forwrd but no reverse. It is possible. The low/ reverse clutch isn't needed to go forward.
