My symbol mc50 scanner wont turn on.battery is fully charged but screen doesnt show anything

if it doesnt pass the align screen its the digitizer unfortunately reboots wont help it will need to be sent in for repair, you can contact me if you would like to send it in

Given that the MC50 has long been EOL, my suggestion would be to scrap your unit and replace it with a Janam XM66 - closest thing in terms of size/weight but faster performance, more rugged, better scanning. In the end, you'll spend less money. Good luck!

Hello jeffjenkins. I'd offer for my company to do the repair ourselves, but unfortunately, our repair lab won't be operational until February. Generally, a replacement screen for your MC50 should be around $50 to $75. That is going to depend on whether it's new, used, refurbished, OEM, or third-party and of course, how much a company wants to charge. Personally, I charge $25 for the screen and $100 for the repair if doing it in-house or $70 for the screen if just selling it. But, that's me. I think it would be worth googling "MC50 Screen Replacement" to find a list of vendors that can do this. Ultimately, you'll be looking at anywhere from $150 to $300 for the screen and repair service. you need to check your power management settings, idle / standby as it sounds like your terminal is just "on" all the time

try hard reset... 1+9+power button

Be sure the Battery is in the "LOCKED" position, with the lever all the way to the right.

Try a soft reset by pressing the reset button on the back of the unit, this will often re-enable the scanner.

Also go to Start>Settings> Symbol Settings to test the scanner operation.

2 Suggestions: 1) It may be that the battery isnt charged, let the unit charge fully 2) If that doesnt work, its probably time to send the unit back to sandisk
