SOURCE: ATW-T52, hissing/crackling.

A common problem that SOME have is due to the foam windscreen inside the metal screen rubbing the diaphram of the mic.

Unscfew the dome screen and make sure the foam is out agaist the scree everywhere.

If the dome has become dented, this is my cure: Temporarily remove the foam sheet inside the dome. Put the dome over the handle of a Crescent wrench (has about the right contour). Pound on the screen with a RUBBER mallet, rotating the screen as it reforms! Good as new! Replace the foam sheet and reassemble!

How to convert older "atw" files for a newer "AnyTime Organizer version"?

This often happens when you step up several versions at one time. A suitable workaround is to load your old version, EXPORT the data from the unsupported version and then IMPORT into the new version. Individual Software, the manufacturer of the package has great technical support--if this doesn't meet your needs, please contact them directly! http://www.individualsoftware.com/support/

How do I program the frequency of transmission on the mic?

Some of these have a body cover that just unscrews off, and expose a set of rotary channel and group selector that you can turn with a small flat screw driver. Match to the new numbers letters on the receiver. If it is the LED type you just need to hold the ch or grp button down until the display flashes then just toggle through the codes.

Vocals disappear in parts using this mic

It is very common to have the squelch on the receiver set at full or much too high. With the audio output unplugged or at least turned all the way down, and with the transmitter turned off, locate the squelch control - you may need a screwdriver depending on which model of receiver you have. Turn the squelch control counter-clockwise until the TX light turns on, then turn it back up just past the point where it turns back off.
If you turn it all the way down and the TX light doesn't come on, that's okay. If you get blasts of noise occasionally when the transmitter is turned off, then set the squelch a little (only a little) higher until it stops.
