If your platen calibration is not done.
1 Resat All Platen Connection of cabal
2 Replace Logic Card
3 Check Platen Moving proper
4 Than Check Sensor And Platen Aliment
5 Than replace Platen Sensor
6 Please Check Platen Motor

Hi

platen calibration has to be done . in offline press lf and enter for tech access on , then go to test menu, select diag,then select call engine , then select platen cal and press enter , it will ask remove ribbon and remove paper , then it will automatically calibrate . then ur problem will be sloved

Louding lables
You shouldn't have to open the back of the printer. You may be having problems with the platen being too tight to allow you to load labels.
If included a picture to help describe the loading process:

Pulling the lever forward (3) releases the Platen tension. Feeding the labels from the bottom of the roll (4) into the slot shown. With the tension off the Platen you should be able to insert the label all the way through the printer

You will need to calibrate the paper and platen.To do that,you will need to enter technical access and disable disable four fault error by pressing LF and enter button simultaneously until tech access appear on control panel display,then press tof + enter to override four fault.Now you can clear the fault message.,then go to calibration procedures.

NEW PLATEN FOR TALLYGENICOM 6312
I would recomend you ensure the printer has the latest firmware as the way the pritner deals with platen problems has changed. I belive the latest firmware version is version 4.0.

The platen can be calibrated with the Technical Access Menu.
The Technical Access Menu is enabled by holding down the LINE FEED and ENTER buttons for 5 to 6 seconds until the printer flashes up Tech Access On.

The menu path to the Platen Calibration is;

TEST>DIAG>CAL ENGINE>PLATEN, then follow the instruction on the display to remove the paper and ribbon etc

Scanner error 6
Scanner errors are as follows for that model:

Scanner error # 

1 = dark find
2 = LMW temp find
3 = bulb warm up from off
4 = bulb warm up from coarse
5 = cal label find
6 = doc original find
7 = LMW final find
8 = cal label find after scan
9 = cal label find prior to standby
10 = doc original find prior to standby
11 = bulb warm up from standby

I would see if there is an original on the flatbed glass (platen), or if something is obstructing the scanner view.

If the error persists, replace the scanner
assembly or the formatter pcb
