Question about Dishwashers

My dishwasher (Zug Adora 555) is flashing A9 and wont start washing. Any ideas? Does it need cleaning?

HI, this is a dirty filter alert. it could also be a control fault as well. clean the filter and, disposal as well. if this alert cannot be cleared, replace the control board or, timer.

SOURCE: problem with dishwasher

inspect the drain, there may be debris in the drain system. While at it see if you can clean the unit. Normally food that had remained on the dishes would accumulate and start clogging the unit over time.

My ge quiet power 3 dishwasher will not start, the normal wash and dry lights come on initially but then go off. Still will not work. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. If I turn the circuit breaker off (for 30 seconds) then turn it back on, the lights will light up, but the controls don't work. After several minutes, the lights go out again.

1) Ensure the dishwasher is turned off. 2) (may not apply) Turn the plastic blue lever located under the sink to the vertical position (this opens the valve, so water can go into the dishwasher) 3) Pour powder indo the dishwasher 4) Turn the dishwasher controller to the top position (the 12 o?clock position) ? this is the eco-setting. 5) Press the on/power button on the dishwasher, so that it now turned on (a light will display) 6) Move the dishwasher controller to the ?R? position (it?s on the very left), and leave it there a second or two. 7) Move the dishwasher controller back to the eco-setting (the 12 o?clock position).

The problem is insufficient water.

Wont spin

I found the solution to clean the lint filter on the GE Adora. Go to http://www.instructables.com/id/GE-Adora-Lint-Filter-Cleanout/?download=pdf

I just did this and my washer is now running instead of the flashing start/pause and door unlocking. It was fairly easy. Make sure you have towels and a flat pan to catch the water if you don't have the machine on a riser. There may be water inside so a wet vac may be helpful too. Once my washer finishes what was in it, I have these funky towels to clean. You'll be very surprised what you find in the filter! Best of luck!
