Buy a SD card at Big Lots.I think they are $12 or $14 for a 4gb and i would think it would fit if it takes a standard size SD.

SD cards only go up to 2GB, but SDHC cards go up to 32GB. The ViviCam will take any SD or SDHC card. The brand doesn't matter. The speed doesn't matter either, though a faster card may download faster if you use a card reader instead of the camera.

You should be able to find SD and SDHC cards at any department, electronics, or office-supply store, and online at their web sites if you're willing to pay shipping and wait for it.

Hi. I've got a vivitar vivicam 4000 camera. But

The absolute largest capacity SD card which your camera can use is 512MB. Your camera is only a 6MP model, so that size will still hold plenty of images even at the highest recording quality settings (approx 183 images at 6MP Fine quality setting, 311 at 6MP Normal quality and if you dial it down to 4MP you're looking at 305 and 498 respectively. 4MP will still produce perfectly good image quality for prints up to A4 size).

You can no longer easily find SD cards of that low a capacity in most shops, but they are widely available online. As you can't wait that long, I suggest that you join your local FreeCycle group and post a request for one (your first posting must be an offer, but it can be for anything at all, and once posted you can immediately post a request). Plenty of people have obsolete cameras lying around and even stacks of old low capacity memory cards which they are often happy to give away.

You can also download a free .pdf format user manual by clicking here, courtesy of Retrevo.

I hope that my speedy, free, and comprehensive reply has been of use to you, and that you can take a moment to rate my answer.

What does format mean on my vivicam 5019? I accidentally erased all my pics when i clicked on it

Format completely erase the card and optimizes it for the camera's operating system. Once formatted, the pictures are gone.

Most of the cheaper vivicams do not have built-in microphones. Yours is one of those.

If the camera uses a memory card, just get a card reader and use it to download the pictures.
