no it will never work sufficiently b coz only the driver cd will provide u the system programs for installing driver again

If the disc is lost, you can just download the driver and utility of your printer from the manufacturer's website. Search google for the driver download

Go to the HP website and use thier software down load package it is easy. I lost my HP deskjet 5150 disc that was hw i was able to reinstall it to new system. I hpoe this will help you. I sure do know it will
