You have a bad flyback transformer. This is a common problem that eventually goes bad in the ITC 222 chassis. You have to get the model number with the code at the end of it after the /. And sometimes you must have the numbers from off the flyback itself. Try to contact MCM electronics for the flyback at 1-800-543-4330. First see if they can match it with the model number with the code after the /.

When I turn on tv...green light goes on with a squeaky noise and then goes out...no picture and tv does not turn on

a noise like you describe is a symptom of what is known as the horizontal output transistor. It would be shorted and along with that the flyback transformer is bad. the flyback is very common problem with the ge version of the rca itc 222 chasis. This repair generally runs 80 to 150 dollars to repair at your local tv shop.. well maybe at our shop but that an average.

How do you release the board with the flyback on it? I've released all of the connections and opened all of the plastic clips but can not slide it out.

There are a series of plastic fingers that secure the edges of the circuit board into the plastic chassis frame. There are also two plastic arms that extend up through the defection board which have to get depressed and then the board is lifted up and out of the plastic frame. This only applies to the ITC 222 and ITC 222A chassis televisions.

I cant find where to go to find the convergence option.. the manuel say's its under setup but on my tv thats not an option as it states in the pic can anyone tell me how to get in to convergence threw my...

That's a common problem with that model the auto convergence option would disappear from the setup menu. But it's a very easy and inexpensive repair that you can do yourself. You can get the RCA repair kit called the ITC 222 and ITC 222 A chassis convergence option missing repair kit. The kit contains the FL 231, DL 231, CL 030 and also has repair instructions on CD. Is $25 from www.tvrepairworld.com listed under their RCA repair kit category.

The tv is going into protection shutdown. It will try to power up three times, but each time it tries, the microprocessor recognizes an overvoltage, or overcurrent draw, and after three attempts it will place the unit into protection shutdown. There can be many causes of this, but the most likely one is that there is a short circuit in the high voltage circuits. You probably have a shorted flyback and associated components.

Tv gos off turn on it gos right off will not stay on r52WH74

the trouble with the tca itc 222 chasis is that there is about 25 different resons that what you describe called a shutdown condition will occur. The first thing to know is that its not a main fuse problem.. the processor is recieving power and is detectecting a condition that is causing it to shutdown for safety. The top reason for this shutdown include a shorted Horizontal Output transistor, A bad flyback transformer. There has been reports of bad capacitors cp150, Technicians have special computer equipment that they plug in to read "error codes" that can help determine the problem. unfortunatly unless your a techniction these sets can be trouble to work on. I work on these daily and still they are trouble

Won't turn on-flashes 3 times.

Flyback and or CP150 are the most likely two components to cause that symptom. If you need more info let me know and also post the chassis number off the rear tag as that model used both ITC and ATC chassis numbers.
