Many laundry machine hoses require a physical air gap, or air break, between end of hose & standpipe drain. This prevents both siphoning & sewer water backup entering washing machine... ( UPC ill. Manual for picture) ... Buzz*
I looked up your model number. You particular machine allows for wash with the lid open. You nothing happens. On that case I would check the motor capacitor.
The air hose from the tub to the pressure switch (inside the control panel) is either disconnected or plugged with debris. Open the control panel by removing 2 screws in the front corners and check for disconnected hose. Otherwise disconnect the hose and blow through it to see if it is plugged.
disconnect the power supply then shut your water off unscrew your water hoses, then move washer out of it's space and look at the back panel proceed to unscrew the back panel look for hose connection that is water pump. If you overload washer with too much weight it will not drain also if you use too much soap it will cause a roper not to DRAIN this has happened to me check your drain line make sure it's properly installed ,take drain hose off and make sure it is clear you may have something stuck inside
This model of washer has something called an Automatic Temperature Control. This means the washer puts water into the tub at specific tempreatures instead of just 100% cold, or 100% hot. Be sure and check that the hot and cold fill hoses are connected to the proper places on the back of the washer. It's possible that the ATC (mentioned above) is causing the washer to fill slowly on the cold setting.
Your water inlet valve has probally failed. First you should remove the hoses and clean the screens in the ends of the hose, some hoses have screens in both ends. While the hoses are removed look inside the water inlet valve there should be a screen in there also remove and clean the screen out. Some screens will not be removable so you will need to clean in place or remove the water inlet valve. If all is clear you will need to check the solenoidson the water inlet valve for power. If the solenoid has power when put ina fill cycle and no water eneters your washer you will need to replace the water inlet valve. Most water inlet valves must be replaced as a unit, so if one solenoid fails you replace the hole valve assembly. These are inexpensive and easy to replace. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru the testing procedure. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. If you need help disassembling there are also videos of disassembling most styles. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models will be available.
It's in the drain hose somewhere, during the fill the water gets as deep in the drain hose as it does in the washer, during the wash the pump runs in reverse keeping the water level in the hose low, during the drain the hose is filled again.
Prop the washer up in front on a couple bricks or boards, start putting in water until it starts to leak and take a peak under the machine.
ckd pump lean washer back against wall pump next to front ..2 clips hold pump to motor 2 clamps on hoses pump slides off motor ..also ckd hose from pump to drain underneath
you have a bad watwer inlet valve but the agit. has nothing to do with the water unless you are not getting enough into the machine to start the agit cycle
