LG frontloader runs thru majority cycle & towards the end it stops & flashes "LE" code. I have replaced Hall sensor.

If the control board does not receive the input it will not operate does the door lock? However:
The attachment shows how to diagnose and repair a failed hall sensor, the usual cause of
an LE error code.

DO NOT replace the stator until the hall sensor has been tested. 98% of LE error codes are
caused by failed hall sensors.

[DD motor SVC check process ]

Pre Check
1) Gentle wash cycles, such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for
smaller loads. Because these cycles are more gentle in tumbling and spinning, putting too much in the
drum can register an issue with the motor. Remove items, reset unit and test with a Rinse/Spin cycle.
2) Don't replace the PCB when the hall sensor is replaced.
Check the hall sensor as shown in the new process.

A Hall Effect sensor is used in these washers which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when there is an issue with the motor or when the Hall Effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sensor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.
Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error.
This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.

Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

It's very important not only to use "HE" (High Efficiency-Low Suds) type detergent--but to use the correct amount.
Nearly all brands of "HE" detergent have incorrect dosage instructions.

The correct amount is as follows:

HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Washload

HE 2X (double concentrated) : (1) Tablespoon

HE 3X (triple concentrated): (1) Teaspoon

This reduces/prevents:

1) Musty Odor

2) "LE" Error/Interrupted Cycle

3) L-O-N-G Cycle Times (longer than time displayed)

4) Insufficient Cleaning Results

5) Small Water Leaks from the air vent behind the washer or at the
front door gasket

6) Damaged Hall Effect Sensor (on 2007 or older LG washers)

7) Reduced Spin Speeds (laundry not spin-dried effectively)

Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!

This is caused by an error from the hall sensor on the motor. It is possible that one of the connectors has come loose (this is an issue with LG's or it could be the hall sensor it's self is bad. First check that the harness that connects to the motor is tight. If that doesn't help then the hall sensor will have to be replaced. The hall sensor is located on the motor. The hall sensor basically tells the computer which direction and what speed the drum is turning.
