Did you type the error code correctly, is it code 8 or 28? And you need to be more specific (what)..which Select 28 you are talking about.

Code 28 Error Message

The Code 28 error is one of several Device Manager error codes. The Code 28 error will almost always display exactly like this:

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)"

If it's a slave flash then it's fine as it has no physical connection to your camera. It simply fires when it senses the flash firing from your SB-28.

try to update your usb drivers

F-28 refers to a sensor that has gone bad.
You will need to call a service repair man.

f-28 code is a serial communication error between the central control unit-ccu- and the motor control unit-mcu-. depending on the age under one year the unit should be under warranty, if so call a service man that care of the problem in warranty. if the unit is over one old you can remove the top and check all connections between the ccu and mcu.

Error F 28 is your heater and it will not unlock because of it.

I'm unable to connect my western digital hard drive to my Windows XP computer via the USB port. When I check the USB 2.0 Controller in the Device Manager, there is a yellow exclamation mark (!) next to it. When I check on the status of the USB 2.0 Controller, the following message appears:

The drivers for this device are not installed (code 28).

What do I do now?
