I purchased a digital photo frame from photo vu 3 years ago. Our frame flashed off today, and it won't comeback on. Do you have a name of a company that will repair our frame (photo vu closed their doors a few months ago).

    Mine died the other day. Monitor won't come on but it's making a little whirring noise. We've been running it 17 hours a day for 4 years now. It's the coolest product we've ever had and I would so hate to not be able to repair it.

    uh oh. does that mean ours has only 2 years left? if 3 yrs is the life span of the frames... no wonder they went out of business. anyone know how to delete pics from the internal memory of the photovu?

That's a shame that the name of the company was partially blocked on this site! Anyway, here is the manual for the 7" Digital photo frame. I'm assuming their lines of digital photo frames work quite similar to one another and this may help you out.

I think most of these photo frames work in a similar manner.

Each has several inputs, 2 of which are probably an SD card the other a USB port.

You can either 1) Copy pictures to an SD card, insert it in the frame and watch or
2) Copy pictures to a USB flash drive, insert it in the frame etc.

How do you add pictures to the photo fram:
Use PhotoFiltre free photo editor program to edit your pictures.
You may download it from the below link.

1. Photos should be in .jpeg format.
2. It is better to scale your photos with the above editor to 800x600 pix.
3. Prepare your pictures in a PC using PhotoFiltre. Scale all the pictures.
4. Transfer your pictures from PC to a USB Flash Disk (Memory Bar)
5. Plug USB Flash Disk to your Photo Frame.
6. Probably your photo frame will ask to transfer your pictures from flash disk to internal memory. Accept this and by pressing enter/OK/Set (Any button that changes from one product to another.)

Hello you were not misinformed about the audio capability but you may have been misled. The only audio formats which your frame supports are these two: MP3 and WMA.

4. Connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet.
5. Turn the frame on.
6. Use a paper clip to press the button inside the pinhole on the back of the frame.

If after trying the above steps and the frame still have the same problem, then we need
to send the frame in for a repair as per warranty guidelines.

Your frame will be repaired per warranty guidelines. A product is warranted for 1 year from the date-of-purchase. For an In-Warranty repair, a “Proof-of-Purchase” is required. If the repair center finds any customer induced damaged, the warranty will be voided and you will receive a notification from the repair center in such cases.
