My LG WD8074 FHB intell front loader has been switching itself off during the rinse or spin cycle. If I turn the machine off and back on and then go back into rinse or spin it will eventually go through the cycle. Is it the computer and is it worth fixing ?

Question 2 also edited for clarity, 'LG' not 'lg'.
No model details again.
Surely not during 'Rinse' cycle? That just adds water and gently tumbles to get the soap out and complete the washing by further agitating the clothes. You must mean during spinning and much depends on if it is a front loader, or a top loader. For both, machine not level front to back and left to right and / or not sitting firmly on all 4 feet.
Top loader, bulky load unevenly loaded.
Front loader, single bulky item causing an uneven load.
The drum is controlled by a breaking system at the bottom of it. It is the agitator in the center that does most of the work during wash and rinse. The drum would spin very fast during spin cycle.
Check if the solenoid for brake control is working. Check that the drive belt is not sagged. It should be tensioned correctly.
bleach? do u mean detergent? normally machines run pump/then start to fill.water will pass through drawer then they heat /wash/drain/spin then refil for rinse conditioner/spin rinse drain fast spin end pretty much
OE is normally down to blocked drain pipes, mcalpine (connection under the sink) or a blocked front filter. empty the machine and unscrew the filter behind the flap at the bottom right hand side, check for any obstructions, icoins, hair grips etc are normally blocking here
If you have correctly selected rince and it doesnt rince, that part of the program is corrupt. Strangely enough, in S.Africa 90% of the washers with rince problems are the lg. Seen quite a few top loaders with this problem as well. There is no reason at all that once rince is selected it shouldnt work, except if faulty.. Only solution is to replace board if rincing to you is essential.
LG washing machine error code SE indicates a “motor fault” although the code also says it could be a main PCB fault. They recommend to... “try the motor first”. It’s vague and you really need an engineer to try and sort this one.
You can’t possibly justify “trying the motor first” if you are a DIYer unless you at least know how to test a motor for faults and check its connections.

You could have a blockage in the drain spigot, that is where the drain hose connects to the plumbing under the sink/tub, or the drain pump may be jammed. Check the spigot and if clear remove the drum to pump hose from the pump. Check inside the pump and the hose for any foreign matter. Try to turn the pump impeller by hand . If the impeller doesn't turn freely and all is clear, replace the drain pump. Always switch the machine off and pull the plug out of the socket before doing any work.
