Pull the smart card out of the unit and turn the unit off. then turn it back on and replace the card. this should reset the unit. It will take a minut or so for the unit to read the card and aquire a sat signal. If this does not work, simply call Dish network and they can walk you through any other options.
Hi cheese_yt I see you got a good answer from dcramer531. I wanted to add if you unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in it will power up and reacquire the signal that way you get the strongest signal to you receiver.
