No Sound I have a 52 inch RCA television I bought it around 2004 or 2005. It has worked great up until now. The picture is still great, colors is great but there is no sound. For about a couple week I noticed when I turned it off the speakers would make a snap sound as it was shutting off, well now I have no sound at all. Help!

Hello Amullins001,
You have one of two possibilites going on here. Lets do the hard one first.
(1) you may have a defective audio Amp IC. part # 264589
(2) The most popular cause of no audio on this unit is "the wife was cleaning the unit and hit the speaker int/ext switch on the back of the unit" This switch is a little hard to find. Its very close to the Video/Audio inputs. Its a sliding switch.

Please let me know

Best regards

My Rca 52 inch has lost color But If I set the feature

PIP means the set uses either two tuners or a dual tuner--could be a issue with the tuner. If it has a swap feature in the PIP use it to see if color when tuner is switched from main to PIP tuner.

A possible way around the issue is to look to see if rear audio/video inputs have color---you could route signal from a box etc to one of those and BYPASS the problem if rear inputs do not have this problem(not likely they will).

52" RCA Rear Projection P52937SG Color Dots?

There could be an obstruction in the way of the three picture tubes on the inside. This tv has a chassis that comes out from the back all in a chip core frame with handles. Takes a quarter inch nut driver to remove and you should look to see if the speaker wires or the keyboard wires are obstructing the picture tubes. Other something I think of is a broken reflector and when you get the chassis out you can look up inside behind the screen to check for this and for any other obstructions.
