Have re-booted, re-synced numerous times, held red button simultaneously, one at a time, etc. Everything with the remote works except the cursor. Can move to the right and left by using the +/- buttons, the home button works, etc., but for some reason (stupid reason, I'm sure) the cursor is not working. Have also unplugged the sensor bar as well. Remotes work on another Wii. Any suggestions?

Your sensor bar is messed up a replacement on ebay is less then $6. Your controllers arent the problems. Also do you have the sensor bar ontop or bottom of your tv? Theres a setting on the wii to change the sensor bar from top or bottom of the tv depending on where youve put it. 99% sure its a bad sensor bar though.

The sky remote will not operate the volume on my grundig gu22dvd have tried all the usual things codes etc but still doesnt work

Try an auto search with the remote, you might have already tried it :

1. press tv

2. press select and the red button simultaneously untill the LED light flashes twice

3. Then keep pressing the TV and Standby buttons one after the other (not at same time) until the tv swithches off, then press select to store the code, the LED should flash twice to confirm this.

Once you have the remote working the TV, you can get the remote blink back the TV code so you can write it down for future reference.

  • Press the TV button on the Sky remote
  • Hold down Select and the Red buttons together for approximately two seconds until the LED blinks twice
  • Key in 9, 9, 0
  • Key in 1 on the numeric keypad and count the number of times the Red LED blinks. This is the 1st digit.
  • Repeat for 2 and 3
  • Note: no Blink = 0 (zero)

Why can't I play the Wii there are new batteries.

You have to sync the remotes to the Wii. Open the battery compartment on the Wii Remote. There should be a little red button. Press this button. Now, on the front of the Wii, there should be a little door compartment where the SD cards etc. go. Open this door and press the red button there, after you have pressed the red button on the Wii Remote.
Your Wii Remote should now be synced with the Wii Console.

Sounds like you lamp ballast has gone bad. I good way to verify this is, when you press power on the projector look inside the lens. If you see a small amount of light, then the ballast is good, and the lamp is bad. If there is no light then chances are the ballast is bad.

Make sure to the little blue light on the wii remote is on on the far left. You may have to sync it. Take the battery out of the wii remote and there is red sync button. There is another red sync button under the little flippy door on the front of the wii where the SD card slot is. press both buttons and wait for the wii remote to stop blinking. Then point it directly at the sensor.

Cursor does not appear

exchange it

    Cursor not appearing
Please note that our experience shows that this troubleshooting is best performed using only one (1) Wii Remote at a time.
  • Some games do not use the cursor feature of the Wii Remote; Make sure the game you are attempting to play uses the cursor by reading the game's instruction manual. You can also exit out of the game to return to the Channel Menu and use the Wii Remote to see the cursor. If the cursor still does not appear, continue with the steps below.

  • Trying to use multiple Wii Remotes in the Mii Channel or Photo Channel? These Channels only allow the Wii Remote designated as "Player 1" to function.

  • Verify that the Wii Remote's pointer lens is free of obstructions and contamination (stickers, heavy smudges, etc.). The pointer lens is the tinted rectangle at the end of the Wii Remote.

  • Check the battery power level by turning off the Wii console, then opening the battery cover of the Wii Remote. Press and release the red "SYNC" button to check battery strength. The number of lights flashing indicates the Wii Remote's battery strength. Four flashing lights indicates full strength. Our experience has shown that as your battery strength decreases to one (1) or less lights flashing, the cursor may not appear. For troubleshooting, if possible, try using fresh batteries so that all four lights illuminate. For guidelines on using batteries, please click here. If after inserting brand new batteries, you are still seeing less than all four LEDs flash, then your Wii Remote will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair information.

  • Is the Wii Remote properly synced?
Press the POWER button on the Wii Remote to see if the Wii console powers on.
    • If it does, the Wii Remote is synced with the system. Please skip to the next section.
    • If the power doesn't come on, power on the system manually and try syncing the Wii Remote.
      • If the Wii Remote will not sync, there is likely a problem with the Wii Remote. Please click here for repair information.
      • If the Wii Remote will sync and the cursor still does not appear, try another Wii Remote if possible.
        • If at least one Wii Remote is working, there is likely a problem with the first Wii Remote and it will need to be repaired. Please click here for repair information.
        • If you have only one Wii Remote, or none that are working, please continue troubleshooting.

  • Make sure that the Wii Remote is being used between 3' and 10' directly in front of the TV and that there are no bright light sources affecting the Wii Remote's operation (review Game Play Guidelines for more information), and that the Sensor Bar is placed properly (see Sensor Bar setup).
  • Check the cord on the Sensor Bar for any frayed wires or kinks, and verify that the Sensor Bar is free of obstructions.
  • Check the button functionality, and that the Sensor Bar is operating correctly, by accessing the Wii Main Menu. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to scroll side-to-side through the Wii Channel screens.
    • If you are able to scroll with the "+" and "-" buttons, but the cursor is not appearing, then there is likely a problem with the Sensor Bar. Please click here for additional Sensor Bar information.
    • If there is no response, there is likely a problem with the Wii Remote. Please click here for repair information.
