Step 1
There are many ways to repair your registry: from System Restore, to your installation disk. There are also many Registry Cleaners on the Internet that will do this specific task for you.

Step 2
Unfortunately, if you do a Google search for a Registry Cleaner, the first pages are filled with Registry Cleaners that toot they are free, but scam you into buying them after a quick scan of your registry.

These programs will show you how many errors there are in your registry and will offer to repair the first 3 or 4 errors. That isn't going to help you.

Step 3
There are a few legitimate FREE registry cleaners. One that is definitely for free is the Eusing Free Registry Cleaner.

Step 4
Go to the Eusing website (in resources). Click on the download tab or any of the Mirror sites. Once it downloads, click Run and install the program. Once the program opens it will ask for a registration code for a donation.

If you observe carefully, there is a SKIP tab. If you want to donate you can. If you don't want to donate and get this application for FREE, just click SKIP.

Step 5
Click the blue letters "Scan your registry" and wait until the scan completes. It will show you anywhere from a few to hundreds of errors. Click "Repair Registry". That's it!

Hi! My Computer tablet doesnot work. The homescreen does not move. It can be turn on though but up to the homescreen only. Please help, whay do i do....

What is the Windows Registry?
The Windows registry is a storage database of files and configurations that are used to run all software and hardware on your system. In many ways it is the "lifeblood" of your computer, since nothing can run without first accessing data within the registry. Over time, the registry will become bloated with errors and require maintenance in order to improve PC performance.
How Can I Fix the Registry?
Unfortunately the registry is an extremely complicated section of your system. Attempting to fix it manually is only recommended for folks who are computer experts. If you remove or uninstall the wrong registry entry or value, the entire system can collapse. This is why it is highly recommended to use a registry cleaner.
If you are encountering a slow PC, computer freezes, BSOD and other computer errors, instead of trying to manually fix your registry, download Advanced System Repair to automatically scan your system and repair registry problems in minutes. It will be able to diagnose and its optimization feature lets you pinpoint exactly how to boost system performance in no time. Go to this link to get started: http://www.registry-clean-up.net

You can try download ccleaner which has a registry cleaner built in. This wont necessarily fix registry errors caused by virus's or personal editing of the registry but it will remove invalid entries.

I want to know how to fix this registry error problem for FREE. There are a bunch of sites that give you a free scan and then when you go to click "fix", it directs you to a site where you have...

Alternatively, you can use CCLEANER, another Registry fixing software/utility. I have come across a Registry Tool, which is effective to fix common Registry issues. Its FREE, small size, easy to use and completely safe. Click here to download CCleaner. Install CCleaner, Click 'ISSUES' and 'SCAN FOR ISSUES' and then click 'FIX SELECTED ISSUES'
Make a backup of the registry and proceed. You may proceed without registry back, if you like.

Good Luck!

Same problem as the first guy

If you are not computer savy, it is dangerous to play around with the registry. If you screw up the registry the computer won't work and you most likely need to reinstall Windows.
What do you want to do in the registry?
If you need to fix and or cleanup the registry for some reason there are Registry fix programs on the Internet, it is a safer option than trying to fix the registry yourself.
Do a Google search for these programs on the Internet.
