It doesnt come up and reconize this item when i plug it into my computer , as a mass storage device , how do i get it to open so i can look on the device? and if i cant open it did this download anything to my computer how do i take it off? is this spywear?

You need to install to your computer the software that came with your phone. If you don't have it, you can download it here:

Samsung Software

Once you open the link above, click "Software" beside Manual.

plug it into a USB port usually located at the front of a computer or if its a laptop it could be on the side once inserted it should install it if it fails to install itself you might have to install it manually
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question mark? It might be listed as a mass storage device
right click to reinstall drivers
if you can see your usb drive but its not working
ports (com&lpt)right click update driver
click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x
right click to reinstall drivers click start all programs accessories open windows explorer my computer you should see your drive it might be listed as a mass storage device hope this helps

I assume the computer recognizes a mass storage device on USB is plugged in and appropriate drivers are loaded. Try on a different computer with appropriate drivers, restart existing computer and plug it in after computer starts. If still fails dismantle device and remove hard disk and try directly in another enclosure. Cannot provide further info without more information.

it will reconize it, simliar to alot of phones, you have to set it to usb "mass storage device" and wen you plug it in drop down your notification screen and mount your usb and you can open files

The process of this mass storage controller is running when you have to remove any mass storage device.
Open task manager and select processes and end process which is running for your storage device rarely.

*THIS IS FOR WINDOWS XP

First, go to device manager.

*Right click "my computer"
*select "properties"
*select "Hardware" tab
*click on "device manager"

Then find the Walkman device on the list.
(it probably has a yellow "!" on it)
*Right click on "Walkman"
*click "update driver"
*click "advanced" option
*click "next"
*click "don't search I will choose the driver"
*click "next"
*select "USB mass storage device"
*click "next"

your gogear has corrupt config files! you must power it off, and connect it to your pc while holding the menu button, and continue to hold it until the computer reconizes it as a usb mass storage device. when an auto play option opens, it will allow you to select "Open with folder to view files", select this option and navigate to the "CONFIG" folder. you must then delete all files inside of the config folder, then once your disconnect and reconnect your player, it should work perfectly,

Depending on the player you did not leave us wht kind, they usually have software disk or they are automataclly reconized as a Mass storage device. You can do this one of two was,

Use a program called Itunes, or media player for windows, or you simply can drag and drop from windows expolorer.

1. ipod default setting is not set as a mass storage device.

2. you might have to restore ipod to manufactor default setting (from itunes). WARNING: all music will be erase.
