Click Start
Click All Programs
Point at the "Startup" folder
Right-mouse click on the icon for one of the items.
Click Delete to delete this "short-cut".
Or, "drag-and-drop" the short-cut out of the Startup folder.

Or, purchase more RAM for your computer, to make the start-up go much faster!

Or, uninstall the program, and the short-cut to that program will be removed.

Testimonial: "thanks. HP dig image monitor was in the startup folder but not spybot or adobe reader. how stop em from loading @ machine start ? "

OR in each program there should be an option to select called more or less like "run on startup".... unselecting it may help.
Otherwise use services.msc (start=>run.... type "services.msc" and hit enter key) to set some services to start MANUALLY or switch them completely off.

There is always a message of " unable to open internet site and operation aborted" while reading my yahoo mails, it irritates, why?

It is more likely that scripts are having issues running on your computer. To correct this you need to Download Windows Script 5.6 depending on your operating system.

You could reset/delete the browsing history
In IE: Click on Tools>General>Under browsing history, click delete> then delete all

''can't load res_dll''

If you have or have had a linksys wireless networking device on your computer its software is the cause for the error. You must uninstall the device using its supplied installation cd. Using the windows add/remove software utility does not remove the software. It will remain on your system even if not visible on the installed programs list. Insert the installation cd then exit/cancel out of the installation. Click START then MY COMPUTER then right click on the drive showing the linksys name. Click OPEN then click the "utility" folder. There you will click on the "setup" icon. This will run the uninstall utility and remove all the linksys software from your computer. There is more than one "setup" file at this stage, the one you want will show "setup.exe" as its description as you roll the cursor over it.When its done remove the cd and restart the computer. You can install linksys usb networking devices using the windows new hardware wizard and they will run with no problems.
