DVW 7200 Have the same problem How do you set time Date SLP Recording without original remote

Unfortunately, the Sanyo DVW-7200 is a DVD player only. It is not a DVD writer. You can find the manual here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/148641/Sanyo-Dvw-7200.html . See page 12 for the recording section.

Have you tried to search for one such as EBay or CHS

Why do you need a original remote as copies work very well and a lot cheaper try EBay or CHS

only with the original remote

The codes that worked for me (I had to use separate codes for VCR and DVD) with a GREENBRIER International Inc. Universal Remote - model number 10064 are:
VCR - 010 DVD - 156

The only instruction manual I can find online for this model is for a SANYO DVW-7200 combo unit. This manual does not illustrate in any detail about remote control 'reset'; only the unit itself using remote to 'initialize' back to factory settings (except parental lock).

If the unit does not respond to the remote control;

Check if the power plug is connected to an AC outlet.

Check the batteries in the remote control.

Aim the remote control directly at the remote sensor. If necessary, remove all the obstacles
between the sensor and the remote control.

You have to be within 23 feet of this unit.

Check if the right mode is selected. If it's not in the right mode, press [DVD] or [VCR],
whichever you need, on the remote control.

Check if a cassette tape is in this unit.

Tune your radio to an empty AM station so that you hear a lot of noises. Turn the volume up,
then if you hear some signal sound from the radio in response to your pressing buttons on
the remote control, the remote control is working.

This model does have a way to turn off progressive scan if it is enabled by accident:

press and hold [PLAY] button on front of unit for 5 - 10 seconds then release. This should revert the unit back to normal interlace (if required).
