TV has vertical lines all over the screen. Sometimes I get the image back but very rarely. Still have sound going through. Is it a bad Tcon or bad connection?

Check for bad connections first by plugging and unplugging all various times to remove any oxidation or corrosion. If still no go, then the anomaly is caused by the T con board.

It's a connection inside the TV that's faulty. It could be as simple as reseating the ribbon cables that connect the control board to the glass display. Or it could be that the fault is on the board and needs to be replaced. The fact that the problem comes and goes should tell you it's fixable.

Well if the panel is bad it would not clear up in any situation, so its not the panel. most likely the t-con board or just poor connections inside. Julio Millenium TV in Las Vegas.

Bottom line for the extra connectivity and DLNA certification i would go with the
Bravia Z-Series KDL-40Z4100/B 40-Inch 1080pBecause if you connect this to your in home network you can stream music videos and music off you PC onto your TV without the need for extra wired or memory cards etc.

Otherwise if you don't need this feature the other options are identical on the other TV so it is just as good a choice.

Sony Bravia 32in ... vertical gray line on right side of the screen about 4in from the edge of the screen. The line is about 5mm thick and present on all inputs. More visible over brown and blue...

Hello,

The line should be visible, even with the television off. It is called "de-lamination" of the LCD panel, and occurs in lines, usually vertical, on the screen.

The panel does need to be replaced. You can contact Sony at 1800-222-SONY. They are good people, and should be able to help you.

Hope this helps...
