Deleted some files from toshiba laptop and now I cannot connect to the internet

Try This:

Windows XP

Accessing Device Manager using Control Panel 1] Press the Start button. 2] Go to Settings, a new menu will pop out to the right. 3] Click on Control Panel. 4] When the control panel comes up, find the System icon and open it up. 5] When the System properties box opens, click on the Hardware tab. 6] You should see your 'Device Manager' button here. Click It.Expand your 'Network Adaptors' from this list, as shown below, using the [+] box.

devicemanagernetworkadaptors.jpg

Now locate your Wireless device, right-click it and select uninstall.

**If prompted, DO NOT uninstall your drivers also**

Now right-click your machine name at the top (I have blacked mine out in the above image for obvious reasons) and select the 'Scan For Hardware Changes' option from the menu.

Let it settle, reboot.

Windows Vista &Windows 7
Start>Right click Computer>Manage>Device Manager

Complete the steps from above to locate and uninstall Network Adaptor.

Hey i have a HP laptop which is probly a few years old now and i went to turn my laptop on today and the screen would turn itself off just after the windows loading bar finishes loading. i can operate the...

If the Windows installation CD cannot detect the hard drive to install Windows then the hard disk could be faulty or it may only need reseating.
First - remove the hard drive and connect it back into the laptop.
2nd - Boot up the laptop and go into the BIOS configuration and check if the BIOS detects the hard drive.
If the hard drive is detected then proceed with the Windows installation.
If the hard drive is not detected in the BIOS then most likely the hard drive is faulty.
In this case you need to replace the hard drive before you can install Windows.

When I click on the new mail notification icon A new window opens and I get the message "Firefox can't find the server at \\login.yahoo.com\config\reset_cookies_token." How do I fix this?

Hello,
Open firefox, go under Tools and select Clear Recent History. A new windows will pop up, be sure that cookies is selected and then press OK.

At this point try again, if you get the sam error it could be that your firewall or anti virus is blocking the communication with Yahoo without accepting cookies. To test it try to lower the security level of your anitvirus or firewall or completely close it for a quick test.

Please report the outcome of the test to further help you if necessary.
