153624 is the firing order , take our No. one spark plug, turn engine over till compression is felt, turn engine till mark on crank pulley lines up with mark on timing cover, this is No. one on compression stroke, the distributor rotor must now be pointing to No. one on the cap, note the way the rotor moves , clock wise or anti clock wise following the movement fit the plug wire to No. 1 on the cap and No one cylinder ,next No, 2 on the cap to No,5 cylinder and so on.
May be ab bad starter solenoid, or corroded/loose connection at starter, or (ground). Could also be a bad ignition switch. Start from the load; the starter. Test for 12V at starter, OK. Connect short wire from starter and touch sylenoid connection..
Zack I'm not sure which engine you have but all oil pressure sensors are replace in the same way and are very simple to do. All you do is unplug the connector from the sensor. Then with the appropriate socket turn it counter-clock-wise to remove it from the engine block. When replacing the new one turn it clock-wise to replace it being careful that you get it started properly, screw it into the block several turns then plug in the connector and your done. Nothing else to do you are done! Hope this helps and have an awesome day Zack.
According to the Peugeot dealer the 206 gti thermostat resistor is embedded in the heater blower fan, so the blower fan must be replaced ( Supplied VIN # for confirmation). However the how to remove the blower is the subject of many discussions on every 206 site. Some say turn blower clock wise, anti clock wise, remove hex screw, don't remove screw. So I am still waiting for a sure answer, I picked up a blower (second hand) but the old blower wont budge, clock or anti , someone suggested to try brute force like with a hammer, I am not game to do that, but I may have to.
most likely your head gaskit is blown how to make sure
when engine is cool open the water cap and fill it to the end
ask someone to start if the water sucks inn gaskit is ok
if the water jumps out gaskit is gone get the gaskit changed
the cam belt should have a little slack in it,, about 1/2 inch over its longest run, its not like a fan belt witch should be tight, but check the idler bearing are not worn out,,and i do hope this is a new belt for this car,,,if your using the old belt,,,dont! fit a new one on it or it could brake on you, and that would be another engine rebuild on your hands,,,

have your starter checked. if you force start your engine with a weak battery, the starter current draw increases and overheats the starter commutator especially with a big engine.
make sure you have power getting to your starter when you crank. check the small nut on the starter. should have 12 v or very close to it. this will tell you if your getting power to the starter or if somethign before the starter and something maybe with your anti theft system or not. its hard to say online cause of that anti theft. doest the light flash at all? the anti theft light?
if your getting power to the starter when you crank make sure your getting good power to the starter by turning on the head lights and see if they dim. a good starter will cause the headlites to dim when attempting to start. if nothing dims check connections. or assume bad starter motor. make sure your also getting power to the main starter stud as well.
