ACTIVATE Wireless Link????

There should be a button just above the minus key (to the right of the 9 key)that reads F12 which you can press in conjunction with the Fn key ( to the left of the Space Bar key). Doing this should either activate or deactivate the wireless networking on your laptop. White indicates that the wireless is On and Amber indicates it's Off. Here are the steps you need to follow.

First turn off and restart your computer. Then press F10 to enter the System BIOS Settings. Select F9 (Setup Defaults) and when it asks Load Default Configuration Now? , Enter YES. Then, press F10 (Save and Exit) and when it asks Save Configuration Changes And Exit Now, Enter YES. This should restore the wireless LAN button to its original factory settings. Once you restart the computer the button will be listed as disabled, but press on the button and it should work again.

Without any wireless networks available, using your computer wirelessly is most pointless. If you want to set up a wireless access point in your home you need a wireless router, connected to Internet.

just activate your laptop wireless connection by putting on with the button or manually by in network properties then put the security code of your wireless router when he ask you.

There is a button for this, and you may need to hold down the "Fn" (Function) button when pressing it to activate it.

use add hardware app for compter to recognize it then when it does. use network set up to activate wireless

there is a button to activate the wireless adapter and some times its a function key on your keyboard that should look like an antenna (blue colored).

Have you loaded compaq easy access button software?

Are you sure you have an internal wireless adapter because I checked your labtop's number and find no wireless adapter iunside.
