I am having the same problem!!! did you ever find out what was causing it???
Possibly a few things: 1) Sounds more like the charger is bad (return and replace it if you can.) 2) The battery is simply bad or might have been damaged somewhere in it's pre-charge or manufaturing process...? If your froggy and good with a soldering iron, you might want to consider purchasing a higher mAh battery and replacing it... [BEWARE!] This is dangerous and requires you to have the circuit board properly in sync (attached) to the battery as this could cause a potential fire of overcharging if this isn't completed properly. I only 'suggest' this ~ by NO means should you consider this except if you are very confident and comfortable in these types of deeper maintenance and tinkering. 3) Send it back and get the whole thing/package replaced.
