Too much mix. as it starts to freeze, the auger pushes the slush forward and upward. each bowl should only hold 2 to 2 1/2 gallons of mix.

I have a woods chest style deep freeze and the lid is very cold on the outside, but the sides are room temperature and the freezer works fine. Why is the lid cold and how can I fix it

Yes, the freezer temperature means the lid gets very cold. Every time you open it some moisture condenses in the lid and the outside ambient also affects it. The insulation may be beginning to break down and the ice is forming inside. It is not a major problem however and many freezers go on for years with freezing lids!

I have water pouring from the side of the engine

Look for a crack in the block or head, a blown gasket, or a bad expansion plug*. I assume the water is your coolant. If that is the case, the level in the radiator will be low.
The coolant leak could be up higher - perhaps it's coming from the thermostat plumbing or the temperature sensor. It could even be a crack in one of the heater hoses. The worst case is the cracked block - in that case the engine is essentially junk. A leaky hose connection is the easiest to fix.
*Note on expansion plugs (AKA freeze plugs). These look like inverted jar lids pressed into the block and are designed to be pushed out if the coolant freezes so the expansion of the ice doesn't crack the block (freezing can happen if you don't have a proper anti-freeze/water mix in cold weather). If you don't replace your anti-freeze according to the maintenance schedule, they may rust out and cause a leak.

I have a Kenmore (110-22642100) that will fill, agitate through wash cycle and that's it. It will not drain or spin.

check the lid switch,if it's bad this will happen,you can set the timer to spin and push it in,open the lid and push down on the lid switch with a screw driver,also when you push down on the lid switch and let it up you should hear a clicking sound,if you don't hear a clicking sound the switch is no good.part number 3949238 and it's around 35 dollars........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbQU-NlkHcw......copy and paste

The left side of the machine is freezing, but it's pushing all of the frozen product to the top of the lid and overflowing

each side should only have 2 to 2 1/2 gallons of mix. there is a line on the bowl that is the max fill line. as it starts to freeze, the auger pushes the product to the front and up. if it's too full, it'll over flow. just empty some out.

It sounds like you need a lid switch. Click on this http://www.partselect.com/PartDetail.aspx?Inventory=350434&SourceCode=1 it will take you to the part ou will need, It only has two screws and it plugs in, so it's not problem to change.
Before ordering, take a look at this part http://www.partselect.com/PartDetail.aspx?Inventory=348557&SourceCode=1 this is the lid strike. It's what pushes the lid switch. Make sure it's not broken. It should look just like this one. Some times the tip will break off and willbe to short to push the lid switch down far enough.

Washing machine not spinning

Does it click when closing the lid ? Sometimes , the lid switch arm , will work inserting something into it , but not with the lid closed . Try checking it using the lid itself . Occasionally , the arm wears to where it has to be pushed farther down to work so the actuator on the lid cannot push it far enough down . Have to replace the lid switch for it to work properly or bypass the lid switch from under the console .
