Hello; A buildup of dust can make the fan noisy. If you clean away the dust, and it is still noisy, the fan needs to be replaced. Hope this helps! John

Panasonic projection tv model # pt56lcz7 no picture, bulb out?

This unit does not have the usual lamp assembly that most do. On this unit the whole light engine has to be removed to replace the lamp assembly. Part number is LFS4000PA1 and cost is $1,351.95 @ www.partstore.com.

My tv is making a noise. It's 3 years old and has

not really advisable, it is more likely a failing fan bearing. This is an area of High tension and not for amateur DIY's to play around. Capacitors hold 22,000 volts, touch 1 and you are toast ( set does not even have to be on) Have a repair man call rather than the coroner

Fan in the back

sounds like the bearings may be getting bad. That can ccause the same operating to become more noticeable. if it starts to make a growling noise you will need to replace it to prevent any internal damage to the chassis. This will also likely result in premature lamp failure. I would order a replacement fan.

Panasonic pt-50dl54j

The 3 times LED code points to no fan rotation. There are 2 fans. Check the larger fan first, p/n = FBL12G12LS, located near the lamp. Even though that fan may be rotating, it may be slow.

Whining Noise - hardrive or fan?

The color wheel is the most common problem when it comes to noise from DLP's. To determine if it is a color wheel or fan: Turn on the set. When the noise starts, turn off the set. If the noise goes away within 5 seconds, then the color wheel is bad. If the noise goes away after one to one and a half minutes after the set was shut off, then one of the fans are making the noise.
