Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
Check the CCFL lamps too, for low light emission, if the backlight of the TV is of CCFL type.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

SOURCE: Black Bar on screen

You can try to check the connector on the address board on that area, but I'm 99% sure the plasma panel is defective.

SOURCE: Lines on tv screen

Both sound like bad LCD panels. The following must be answered to confirm this:
Do the lines appear on all inputs/all signal sources?
Can they be seen in the OSD/menu?
If yes to both questions, it is likely that the LCD panel is bad

SOURCE: Vertical black bar down the middle of hitachi plasma tv

The tv is shot. This occurs when pixels on the top row of the screen break, which blocks current from moving through the rest of the pixels in that column. But don't worry this problem is common and is covered in your tv's warranty.

Hi, My Pioneer PDP 506XDE made a loud cracking noise and now the top half of the screen has no picture but shows only a green film . Bottom half of display is fine

The screen has broken, probably a stress crack waiting to happen from the day the plasma panel was manufactured. It will cost less to replace the TV completely than to have a replacement 50" screen fitted. In the six years or so since your tv was manufactured the screen technology has evolved significantly, fitting a new panel may not even be possible without other major component changes.

The new tv will have a new warranty, but just fitting a new screen will typically get you a maximum 90 day warranty.

I have a Pioneer pdp-433 plasma with a media receiver pdp-ro3e. When switching it on it gave a loud pop and blew up a fuse in the meter cupboard. Now when switching it on it gives green light on receiver...

Alas, the powerblock has gone.

Common problem on this model.

Only solution is replacement powerblock.

Pioneer used to repair this for nothing even out of warranty (they did for me), but they may not be so willing now, as your tele must be at least 6 years old. Unfortunately, it will be cheaper to buy a new TV than to pay for a contractor to fix it.

I heard a pop from my tv and then the tv didn't work

Anything is repairable as long as the screen isn't damaged.
The sound you heard is most likely was a capacitor that just went dead.
Solder in a new capacitor should fix the problem. It would most likely be on the power supply board somewhere.

You'll need the Service Manual for parts list, diagrams, and schematics. Here's one place for that:

Any other questions just ask.

I'm seeing a white blinking lines either on the bottom or top of the screen, depends on the channgel. I'm using At&T u-Verse service. My question is it my Plasma which is two years old or could be At&T?

If it's a horizontal line then its the TV service you are using. This also happens with cablevision and Verison FIOS services. You might be able to look into your menu settings on the TV and adjust this.

Plasma Screena growing yellow-greenish discoloration

depending on the severity of it, it can be just a couple of voltage adjustments on the power supply. If that does not clear it up if you replace the power supply it should take care of it.
