Have a Cisco DTA 50 box issued by my service provider and don't want to use the cheap remote that comes with it. Was wondering if there are codes for universal remotes?

I am looking for the same, someone from the cable corp told me that the code is 001. But doesnt work for me. :-(

As cashew suggested, I used the Scientific Atlanta cable box code listed in the Sony RM-EZ4 remote progamming guide, which happens to be 3102, and it worked perfectly for the Cisco DTA50. I guess each remote uses unique code sequences, I could not enter 3 digit codes.

Universal code "210" worked for me with Sony Bravia remote.

I have the sony remote rm-y195 and the dta50 isnt responding with any of the codes above. i have spent all day trying to look it up but can not find anything..little help..

Phillips SRP4004/27 Scientific Atlanta code 2503 worked! Just had to wrestle with it for a little while (programmed the code, followed instructions for when a button doesnt work right with the channel up button and suddenly it started changing channels). Wishing my cable provider used another box though.
