Chaange the data cable if the it pata , the jumper select cs other wise fit tightly.if not wor again change it newly .If it is sata change newly or fit tightly.

You should open the case and see if the power cable and sata cables are secured on the drive..... it is possible that the DVD drive control board has died. Considering there are many DVD burners out there for less than $20 the replacement should be cheap and simple.

You need to goto the manufacturers website, find
their support section and there should be a list of drivers for your specific
machine. Installing these should resolve your problem. I have a list of links

you need too update the driver for the actual drive itself, not the operating system. if you find the driver on google or the manufacturer website download page and flash it then re-install the driver from the operating system it should work.. hope this helps.... Shawn
Remove the Phillips PM2.5x7.0 screw (1) that secures the optical drive to the computer
Insert a thin tool, such as a paper clip, into the media tray release hole (2). (The optical drive media tray release from the optical drive)
Use the media tray frame to slide the optical drive (3) to the left.
Remove the optical drive.
