You can tell by looks or by the VIN number if the engine is original.
The fifth digit could be H or Q. H is for the Windsor engine and Q is for Cleveland. The Windsor looks like an ordinary 289 or 302 engine, the Cleveland is a big head 400 version. I don't think they used a 4bbl Windsor but they did use a 2bbl Cleveland so that is not a good example.

I don't know where you are, we are in Cleveland Oh. Unless you are hopeless in love with this T/W I suggest you go on Ebay and find a replacement. The shipping packaging and repair providing whatever parts needed are available is may be to much.
