I have the src2063wm twin pac remote controls. They set up OK for my Philips TV and my Dish Network Sat but when I try to change a channel on either my TV or the Dish Network, it jumps 3 channels. It also does it while viewing the menu screen. I use codes: 2195 for my TV and 3966 for my Dish Network. Can you help? Bill

Hi my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see when you try to change the channel itskips some. There are a couple of things you can check to make sure allchannels are showing. Please press the Menu button on the DISH Network remoteand on the top left it will say All and you want it to say All Channels, then youwill want to make sure all the channels in you're Programming Package arethere. If they still are not showing please unplug the receiver for 10 secondsand after plugging it back in it will power up and acquire the signal anddownload the Program Guide, you will then want to make sure all channels areshowing. If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail me at [email protected].

Do i need to program my remote to change channels on the dish network

Hey knapshak, Tommy Faust with DISH Network here. It would need to be programmed to the receiver in order to change programming. You can do that by following the steps below.

1. Access System Information screen from your main TV.
2. Note the number on the bottom of screen next to Remote Address.
3. Hold SAT until all buttons on top light up then release.
4. While SAT is blinking enter a number between 1-15 and press # (Different from number listed)
5. Press record 3 times and the number should change, try the remote and see if you can change channels.

Dish network changed to snow when I tried to change station to channel 13. I pressed "power" for 5 seconds with no change.

Hi, Mary with Dish Network Customer Service here. It sounds like when you try to change channels with your remote, it is changing the channels on your TV and not your Satellite Receiver. In the top left corner of the Dish Network remote is an SAT button. When you try to change channels on the Satellite receiver this button should be lighting up. If the TV button lights up, it means the remote is working the TV. Press and release the "SAT" button after you have the picture back on the TV and it should work normally. I hope this resolves your remote issue!

The tv is jammed. Remote is fine but have pressed the wrong button

It sounds as though you might have just accidentally pressed a button and changed the remote into an incorrect mode for example, tv, or aux modes. This would in fact prevent the remote from successfully working with the DISH Network receiver. If this is in fact the problem, then the remote simply needs to be put into "SAT" mode, once its back in SAT mode you will then be able to change channels, select menu, power receiver on and off, etc. The "SAT" button is labeled & in the upper left hand corner of the remote to put the remote back in satellite mode, please just press that SAT once and then release, the SAT button should briefly light up red & then the light will go out, you should then be able to use the remote again, to ensure remote was successfully changed back to SAT mode, you can press select or any other button you chose & as long as the SAT button lights up when you press another remote control button- then your all set to go & everything should be working once again! I hope this helps -please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!

Program sony remote to operate dish vip722

The Sony RM-YD029 Remote control will work with the Dish Network VIP722 DVR HD Satellite Receiver, but the Dish Network VIP722's Primary remote address must be set to 1.

The procedure below will allow Sony RM-YD029 remote control to operate Dish VIP722.

Using the Dish Network Remote Control -
1. Press menu 2 times to get to system info page
2. In the system info page the primary remote address is in a white box (bubble) followed by a Green TV (1)symbol that says IR and indicates you the channel your remote control one is configured. The Sony RM-YD029 will work when this primary remote address number (in the white box) is set to 1.

If the Primary Remote Address of your VIP722 Remote control 1 is not set to channel 1, here is how to change it:

1. While displaying the system info page, press and hold the SAT button on your dish network remote until all other modes are flashing, about 3 seconds.
2. then press the '1' button on the numeric pad of your dish remote
3. then press the '#' button on the numeric pad of the dish remote
4. then press the 'record' button (red dot button - stores setting)
5. At this point you should see a number 1 in front of the primary remote address on the dish system info page

Ensure you enter the corresponding IR code into your Sony remote control per the instructions in the manual or Sony's web site. My 722 works with Sony IR code - 01775.

Need Dish DVR ViP722 remote code.

If you are looking to have the Dish remote operate your TV, just do a random search for your tv. First, hold down the tv button on the dish remote until all the rest of the light up. Next press the tvpower button on the dish remote. Next, press the channel up button (this is the up arrow button) until the set turns off. When it does turn off, press the # key at the bottom right of the remote. The tv button will light and flash twice. That's it. Your done. Hope this helps.
